The northern part of the Costa Blanca is known as La Marina and roughly relates to headland area which projects eastwards towards Ibiza, the easternmost point being Cabo de la Nao which separates Javea and Moraira. La Marina itself is divided into La Marina Baja (lower – to the south) and La Marina Alta (upper – the northern half).Both fall within the Province of Alicante and the region of Comunidad Valencia.
